

The next morning, Gilbert takes some trucks. The two start to chat and get to know each other more that night in the sheds, much to Daisy’s annoyance, who isn’t getting much sleep. The right trucks are exchanged, and Ryan takes the fish trucks to the docks, with Gilbert tagging along. Just then, Ryan arrives with them and notes that Gilbert must have taken the wrong ones when the coal trucks where still in the yard. Gilbert eventually also realises this and says he can get the coal trucks. Gilbert takes note of the advice and continues the trip.Īt Arlesdale, he meets Oliver, who immediately takes note of the smelly trucks. He advises Gilbert not to go too fast and focus on getting to the destination. Just then, Harvey arrives and helps re-rail the trucks. Realising he’s stuck, Gilbert calls out for help. He breaks and stops, but so hard that the trucks derail.

However, along the way, the trucks begin to bump him. The two exchange pleasantries before Gilbert departs after Skiff clears the line for him.Īfter leaving Arlesburgh behind, Gilbert decides to speed up as the line is clear. As the Fat Controller and the two engines depart, Gilbert couples up to some trucks he believes is headed to Arlesdale.Īs he enters Arlesburgh, he becomes fascinated by the sites, and narrowly avoids an accident with Skiff. He eagerly greets everyone, and the Fat Controller assigns him to take some trucks to Arlesdale. One day at Ryan’s shed, he informs him of his intentions and begins to worry a bit before the engine arrives, introducing himself as Gilbert. The Fat Controller decides to bring in a new engine to help out. But with Daisy unable to take goods, Ryan and Skiff are the only ones able to tackle the workload.

With summer approaching, the workload begins to pick up on the Harwick branch, with tourists and locals flocking to the beaches or to the Mainland. On the Island of Sodor, you will find many different branch lines: the Ffarquhar, Little Western and the Harwick branch among many others.
